TRUSTED COMPANY: Bergen's Auto Body

Name of Shopper: Darrin Oremba from Premier Tax Services

MYSTERY SHOP CHECKLIST:

My company vehicle was involved in a small fender bender that caused $ 6500.00 of damage to the front end of my SUV. The person I was in the accident recommended that I use Bergens Auto Body so I contacted them and made arrangements for my vehicle to be towed their from SGI.

1. How was the greeting/ welcome/ call answered? My calls to the office were answered quickly and warmly by their staff. Arrangements were easy to make and I was informed up front that there would be a bit of a delay because of the current back log of vehicles already ahead of me.

2. If retail: Appearance of the store / staff and showroom? Not a retail store.

3. Product/industry knowledge of staff? Follow up phone calls from the technicians working on my vehicle were knowledgeable about my vehicle and the damage and made recommendations that exceeded SGI’s original plan.

4. If a quote is required is the quote well laid out/ clear? Quote was very clear. A call explaining the extra charges not going to be covered by SGI were clearly laid out.

5. Did they ask where you found them? The asked during my first call how I found them and I explained about the referral from the other guy in the accident who turned out to be their accountant.

6. Overall experience 1-10. Over all experience is a 9.

7. Would you return as a customer/ recommend them to close friends? I have already recommended their business to my business partner and another friend.

8. Did anyone stand out as exceptional? If so who? Why? John was the person I dealt with from start to finish.

9. If you made a purchase/booked a job how was the process? N/A

Here is a recent review about Bergens on their Google Review page on the Bergen's Auto Body  Regina Google + Page

Best regina Auto body Bergens

" Immediately after my appointment -- on the 4th of the month -- at the SGI Claims Centre (as the result of a collision between my truck and a deer) I took the vehicle to the two Ford dealerships in Regina. Neither one could accommodate me within the next month to six weeks and weren't really interested in looking at the paperwork to determine the scope of work that needed to be done. I went to Bergen's where Jonathon had a close look at the paperwork, listened to my need to have the vehicle fixed and back in my hands by the 15th and, within minutes, committed to meeting my need. Bottom line: I had the truck back on the 13th, with quality workmanship and cleaner outside and in than it had been for weeks. Could not be happier nor more satisfied with the attitude, the quality of work and the delivery on commitment given by Jonathon and the staff at Bergen's " Leon Brin , Regina

Thanks for taking the time to review them Leon...and thank you to Bergen's for proving ( yet again) that they are deserving of the title TRUSTED REGINA AUTO BODY SHOP.

Bergens Auto Body Trusted Regina auto Body experts share a tip on Winter auto and driving safety

Bergens are a local family business and from the moment you walk in the door you will be treated like family!

Bergens Auto Body Regina  are proud to have an amazing 80 Years Auto Body Experience, and they have been serving Regina Auto Body needs for over 30 Years....they have a loyal customer base that simply wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Bergen's are an SGI Accredited Regina Auto Body and Collision Repair shop, they offer courtesy cars to their clients and they specialize in foreign vehicles.

Here they share a great tip on Preparing an Emergency Kit for Your Car:

Slippery or snow-covered roads, reduced visibility and bitter cold: these are all conditions that can make driving difficult and even dangerous during cold weather months. Winter also brings an increased risk of getting stuck in your car, so dress warmly before heading out.

Follow these tips to learn about winter driving risks and prepare an emergency kit for your car.

Exercise extra caution when driving in these winter road conditions:

  • Blizzards: The most dangerous of winter storms, combining falling, blowing and drifting snow, winds of at least 40 km/h, visibility less than one kilometre and temperatures below -10°C. They can last from a few hours to several days.
  • Heavy snowfall: Refers to snowfalls of at least 10 centimetres in 12 hours, or at least 15 centimetres in 24 hours; accumulation may be lower in temperate climates.
  • Freezing rain or drizzle: This can lead to ice storms, with ice covering roads, trees, power lines, etc.
  • Cold snap: Refers to temperatures that fall rapidly over a very short period of time, causing very icy conditions.
  • Winds: They create the conditions associated with blizzards, and cause blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility and causing wind chill.
  • Black ice: Refers to a thin layer of ice on the road that can be difficult to see or can make the road look black and shiny. The road freezes more quickly in shaded areas, on bridges and on overpasses when it is cold. These areas remain frozen long after the sun has risen.
  • Slush: Wet snow can make for slushy roads. Heavy slush can build up in the wheel wells of your vehicle and can affect your ability to steer. Large trucks and buses can blow slush and snow onto your windshield, leading to a sudden loss of visibility.

Follow these tips if you are stuck in the snow:

  • Try to stay calm and don't go out in the cold. Stay in your car: you will avoid getting lost and your car is a safe shelter.
  • Don't tire yourself out. Shovelling in the intense cold can be deadly.
  • Let in fresh air by opening a window on the side sheltered from the wind.
  • Keep the engine off as much as possible. Be aware of carbon monoxide poisoning and make sure the exhaust pipe is not obstructed by snow.
  • If possible, use a candle placed inside a deep can instead of the car heater to warm up.
  • Turn on warning lights or set up road flares to make your car visible.
  • Turn on the ceiling light; leaving your headlights or hazard lights on for too long will drain the battery.
  • Move your hands, feet and arms to maintain circulation. Stay awake.
  • Keep an eye out for other cars and emergency responders. Try to keep clothing dry since wet clothing can lead to a dangerous loss of body heat.

Prepare an emergency car kit

Always have winter safety and emergency equipment in your car. A basic car kit should contain the following:

  • Food that won't spoil, such as energy bars
  • Water—plastic bottles that won't break if the water freezes (replace them every six months)
  • Blanket
  • Extra clothing and shoes or boots
  • First aid kit with seatbelt cutter
  • Small shovel, scraper and snowbrush
  • Candle in a deep can and matches
  • Wind‑up flashlight
  • Whistle—in case you need to attract attention
  • Roadmaps
  • Copy of your emergency plan

Items to keep in your trunk:

  • Sand, salt or cat litter (non-clumping)
  • Antifreeze and windshield washer fluid
  • Tow rope
  • Jumper cables
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Warning light or road flares

Print or download the Emergency Car Kit list. Cross items off the list as you put them in your car.

 Bergens

Bergens Auto Body & Collision Centre your Regina Auto Body experts give great advice on Potholes and dealing with Winter's Damage

While Bergens Auto Body Regina appreciate your business, we know it's never fun to get into a collision in the first place.

Here they share some great tips on Potholes and dealing with Winter's Damage:

With the snow slowly melting, that mean's potholes! And you can start to think about how to deal with the Winter's damage.

Keep these driving tips in mind this spring as you travel:

Hitting potholes can throw your car's front end out of alignment. If you feel your car "pulling" during driving, that's a clue that you could have a problem. Check the tread on your tires: uneven tread wear can be a sign of misalignment. If you hit a severe pothole, have us check your vehicle's alignment and tire balance.

When you hit a pothole you can damage your tire and/or the metal wheel of your vehicle. Keeping your tires properly inflated will help reduce damage from potholes and other road hazards.

The impact of potholes on tires increases dramatically with speed and can cause hidden, internal damage that could lead to tire failure weeks, or even months, later. It is best to avoid potholes entirely, but if that's not possible, don't brake during pothole impact. Instead, apply brakes before hitting a pothole and release them just prior to impact. Braking during the impact sets up the tire and wheel assembly for a "solid hit" against the edge of the hole.

Hopefully this snow will go away soon, and we can start enjoying Spring! But while we wait for that to happen...

Wash the under body:

Wintertime driving will coat the bottom of your car with salt, sand and other grime that can cause corrosion. Corrosion can lead to rust problems, which can make your car much harder to resell or even dangerous to drive.

Replace worn wipers. Winter can be brutal on your wipers—make sure they’re ready for spring showers. Check that the rubber isn't dry or cracked, then turn them on and make  sure they’re properly cleaning the wind shield. If you see a problem, come in and get a new set installed!

Bergen's GUARANTEE that you will be treated to both friendly service and quality workmanship....and after speaking to their clients we can definitely say that they do all they claim and all in a style all of their own! sure they’re properly cleaning the wind shield. If you see a problem, come in and get a new set installed!
